Auger Fillers
We offer a range of Auger Fillers to suit most applications.
Deposits from less than 1g -50kg. Anti trickle options. Volumetric and Gravimetric.
Auger fillers are commonly used to dose powders and free flowing granular products. Their are 2 main types, Volumetric and Gravimetric (or loss in weight).
Both use a precise screw and tube which will deliver a specific volume based on rotations. A volumetric auger combines this with an encoder to quickly and accurately deliver a portion. Our volumetric auger fillers come complete with a feed back scale, this allows the operator to periodically place a pack on the scale, the PLC will take feedback from the scale and adjust the auger to maintain accurate weights even if the product density fluctuates. A gravimetric or loss in weight auger from our range can be use volumetrically as well. In gravimetric mode it checks the weight delivered by having the entire hopper mounted on a load cell. The down sides of this are you can not portion while the hopper is being feed / topped up and the process is slower as time is needed for the machine to check the loss in weight.
There are different models with filling capacities from less than 1 gram up to 50 kg and a range of hopper capacities from 25 litres to 100 Litres. If your requirements are outside this ask, just because we haven't before doesn't mean we cant!
A range of accessories are available to prevent free flowing products from "trickle" where product flows from the auger once it has stopped rotating.
All our auger feeders can be fed by automated inclined fed augers to maintain the correct product level during production as well as ensuring maximum efficiency.
