How does Sipro mitigate project risk?
“The nature of bespoke automation means that it is inherently a higher risk proposition. We are designing automated solutions for products and processes, which are themselves newly derived.
Sipro mitigates risk by undertaking both a technical and commercial assessment of the project, before any orders are placed.
We identify and highlight any areas of concern and then prepare either a static or working 3D robot simulation to prove principle or identify problems on the high risk areas from which we develop our solutions.
During project builds Sipro includes a thorough testing phase after assembly and programming is complete which enables issues to be identified and addressed.
Before despatch Sipro sets up the complete system in its Rochester factory to demonstrate adherence to specifications, performance and build quality. The system is only shipped once it is accepted and signed off by the client.
After the equipment is installed and commissioned the factory test is repeated on ‘live’ product as part of an Installed Acceptance Test. Only after satisfactory testing and client sign off does Sipro usually receive final payment.”
